Ankerson Communications Moves to Downtown Ann Arbor

Ankerson Communications recently signed a lease for 3rd floor office space at 308 S. State in downtown Ann Arbor. From the company’s website,

“Ankerson Communications provides the very best in print and web design, copywriting, and communications strategies for non-profit organizations and social justice causes. Our work is driven by a belief in our clients’ causes and, above all, joy in what we do.”

Deb Pearson of Bluestone Realty Advisors represented the space. She worked extensively with Ingrid Ankerson, the principal at Ankerson Communications. “After living and working in Madison, WI for many years, it is great to be able to make the move to a place like Ann Arbor. We originally looked at Burlington Office Center because we wanted to be closer to the University of Michigan. We were looking for something that would have easy access to anyone in southeast Michigan, but would also have the feel of a downtown location.

We looked all around the Ann Arbor area, at a range of prices and locations. Burlington Office Center gave us the ability to be close to downtown Ann Arbor without having the inconveniences and costs of being in downtown. Being close to U of M has also been great for our recruiting.

As an engineering company, we have a lot of high tech equipment, which meant we had very specific requirements for electrical and wiring as well as space. The space in Burlington Office Center perfectly fit our requirements, and allowed for us to build out for our lab. Oxford did an amazing job with our build-out, ensuring it met all of our design and technology requirements.

One pleasant surprise about the building is the beautiful setting, with great landscaping and a beautiful pond. It is a great building all around.
The Oxford staff is great. They are always on top of maintenance. They were very helpful with our build-out and meeting our requirements. Everyone is very professional, from our leasing agent to maintenance and administration.

The ability to put in maintenance requests via their website is a great feature. We can very quickly report any issues and get back to business. And Oxford is always very responsive and quickly responds to any needs. Everyone is very professional and courteous. There is no problem they can’t resolve quickly. Craig, Shannon and Randy are all terrific.

Testimonial: Gerald Alcock & Company

We have been in the Burlington Office Center since it was built over 20 years ago and have no plans to leave in the near future. We could not imagine a better location that meets the current needs our company.

It is easy in - easy out in terms of parking and access to the highways - something our staff truly relies on. Everyone in our company is in and out of the office constantly. At Burlington, we can pull up, be in the building, and then back out again within minutes.

The Burlington Office Center is close to everything. Our staff can get throughout all of the Ann Arbor area within a few minutes. And while there are other businesses around us, we are still easy to find and access.

We’re very pleased with Burlington Office Center, and Oxford Property Management. We wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.

Testimonial: Ann Arbor Healing Arts at Burlington Office Center

Ann Arbor Healing Arts at Burlington Office Center
Cynthia Esseichick, Dipl. OM, L.Ac.
Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Practitioner

Ann Arbor Healing Arts had been downtown for 16 years. We recently expanded the scope of our practice to include acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine. We needed more physical space, updating, and an overall more professional, medically-oriented setting. We also needed easy access for our patients and ample parking. For many, dealing with downtown parking (meters, lots, costs) created a challenge.

We had known about Oxford, and their excellent reputation, for a long time. We selected the Burlington Office Center because of its physical features--it is professional, accessible, well-maintained, and clean. The buildings and grounds are modern and welcoming in a gorgeous setting surrounded by natural beauty. The suite we chose had exactly the right dimensions and features. The stunning view from our suite is not something you are likely to see anywhere else in Ann Arbor.

Our business is about helping people feel healthy and well. People immediately feel comfortable and relaxed, and enjoy coming here. I feel this setting represents me, and the work I do, very well.”

Oxford ensures that everything in and around the building is attractive and well-maintained. As a practitioner, this location has made a great impression on my patients. The natural beauty not only puts people at ease, it helps to remind us all of the importance of nature and our need to feel good in our lives.
